Octopus restoration may be a labor intensive process, but the results often look incredible.
I purchase the octopus frozen from a local bait shop and work with them to restore the appearance of the chromatophores in the skin to a life like appearance. It’s a difficult and labor intensive process that takes about two hours per individual.
After setting for another week, they are ready to be shipped out to other specimen preparators, jarred, or embedded in glass or resin.
(Yes I do sell them from time to time, pm me if you are interested.)
