Swimming In a Sea of Green Spell

Hey there! I’m really surprised to say that my divination bottle was a huge success! My blog managed to gain some much needed followers, and it looks like I helped a lot of people (and even managed to get into contact with a few of my fave blogs… So nice!). While divination isn’t my specialty, jars and stuff of the like are! As well as money/luck spells! So I decided to throw this together really quick, since I’m raising money for a con I want to go to. But I figured a lot of my witch friends could really use this, so I decided to tell you all how to do it yourselves!

This is more complicated than my usual spells/sachets, so bear with me here.

Aight, What Do I Gotta Get

  • Jar with a lid. (Jar can be green, clear, or a goldenrod sort of color)
  • Cloves (I associate cloves with Luck, personally. Also for Success, Prosperity, and Money!)
  • Basil; Both herb and oil. Go for full leaf if you can, but if you can’t ground/crumbled leaf works perfectly fine as well. (For Money, Success, Prosperity)
  • Cedar (For Money)
  • Cinnamon (For Luck, Success, and Money)
  • Salt Water (Preferably naturally obtained, but it doesn’t really matter)
  • 3 Coins (Any coin, for all I care. I threw nickels in there)
  • 3 Fools Gold (Choosing the Fool’s Gold for aesthetic and looks, mainly. If you have real gold, go for it, but… That’s a lot of expense to spare, imo)
  • Green, Gold, Silver, or White cloth to make a poppet.

Nice, What Do I Gotta Do

Preferably done during a Waxing/Full Moon

  1. Get your altar set-up ready. This is slightly bigger than a small spell, so ground yourself if you need, cleanse your objects, and any other rituals you do before spellwork.
  2. Prepare your poppet. If you want to know an easy method to make a poppet, here’s the one I used. Add one fool’s gold inside, and some stuffing if you would like. Then go ahead and decorate this poppet in any way to look like you! When you are done, hold the poppet, and clearly  proclaim (either verbally or mentally),

Poppet, I name you (your name). Let your wealth, be my wealth. Let your luck, be my luck. Let your fortune, be my fortune. As it is, so shall it be.

    3. Now, start adding in your Cloves, Basil, Cedar, Cinnamon, Coins, and remaining Fool’s Gold. Either before you start doing this, or as you do, recite:

I see a sea, before me lain;
The greenest sea, to which I came;
Dipping in its bountiful throes;
I find a coin, which leads me fro:
Deeper, in these becoming waves;
Among the stone, and seaweed glades;
Veins I find, of gold, in water;
Take it home, back to my altar;
Where there, I find, it has followed me;
Home and forever, this sea of green.

4. Sprinkle in a few drops of water, as representation of a sea. Then, drop in your poppet, and recite:

May gold I seek, inside my heart;
Come to me, and with it start;
A dawn of luck, and prosperity too;
To persevere, through all I do;
At day’s end, may I return astounded;
To bundles, that remain uncounted;
For so much wealth, is bestowed upon me;
As it is, so shall it be.

5. Seal your jar very tightly, and with the basil oil, create a sigil to draw forth money. You can make your own, or you can use one that I’ve already created and charged. (”I am earning much money and luck” sigil)

6. Shake it up, so that your poppet is “swimming in a sea of green”, and leave it near your piggy bank/ where you keep your money. Give it a few shakes when you want it’s power, but ultimately, you’re done with the spell! Congrats!
