Get a spool of thread. Begin to unravel it. “Retexo, Renodo, Resolvo…” Repeatedly chant this as you unwind the thread. Hear your words echo everywhere. Make them crack the wards. Unravel their protection. Unbind their magic. Undo their ward. Continue until the thread runs out. Bury the spool. For extra measure in making sure they won’t just be able to hoist up another spell, burn the thread and blow it in their direction. “Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.”
¼ to 1/3 cup coffee oil (to make coffee oil put coffee grounds in a pan with olive oil and heat slowly until oil is strong as you like)
Combine ingredients and charge. Apply once a day in circular motions, rinse well. Every time you apply the scrub be sure to focus on keeping unwanted hands off of you.
This satchel idea was brought to me from a friend’s friend who went through a painful, abusive relationship. They left their harmful partner and wanted to find a way to protect themselves so that they can keep the ex-partner away.
What it does: this satchel will help protect you from an ex-lover or abusive partner that you’ve decided to break contact with. This helps protect you from toxic people who might otherwise take advantage of or hurt you.
Before making this satchel: make sure that you’re not going to allow your harmful ex back into your life. Don’t call them, text them, stop them on the street to say hello, etc. Do not allow them to puncture your space by any means. And if they do manage to come up to you, leave as soon as you can.
What you’ll need:
A black satchel
Rose stems with thorns
Sea salt
Hematite, onyx, iron, or some black stones
Sage, rosemary, bay leaves (or two of these, or all three for maximum protection)
An item to represent you (charm, hair, clipped nails, personal trinket, etc)
Casting: You are free to cast the spell however you wish, though I would recommend burning a black candle while you put the items into the satchel, saying the intent of the pouch as you fill it. Chant something like
This bag is my shield and these items keep it strong All these things protect me from (name)’s wrongs
Everyone’s casting styles are different, so you are free to do your own version of whatever spell you want to accompany this.
Meditate on the purpose of the satchel. Feel the powers of the herbs and stones protecting and holding the items that represents you; in turn, imagine your psychic shield wrapping around you, protecting you from the harmful person’s presence.
Wear the satchel on you when you’re out or feel uncomfortable, until you feel safe and secure knowing they will no longer bother you ever again.
Why I chose these items: I’m very fond of plant/herb magick and crystals, so there’s one. Salt is a very protective mineral that is very commonly used to ward off negative presences. Rosemary, sage, and bay leaves are also protective. Rose thorns are the shield that roses, the symbol of love and frailty. Hematite, onyx, and other dark crystals are protective, especially hematite. Black is a strong colour, and is very defiant and protective.
Here is the promised spray to help keep shitty people away from you! Just in time for the holidays! I want to note that this is the first version I made, it isn’t a lasting spray and you would need to modify a few things for that effect. It works wonderfully as is for myself. The items used were chosen either for their magical properties, use as bug spray(which I mean, bugs are assholes so it went together well) or both. Enjoy and modify as you see fit!
Items needed
Spray bottle
Salt
Lavender
Pepper (crushed red)
Cloves
Mint
Food coloring
2 shot glasses full of water are the base, mixed in a microwave safe mug. Using from a herb shaker it was 1 shake salt, 1 shake crushed red pepper, 2 shake cloves, 3 drop mint oil, 1 shake lavender, 1 drop blue food coloring. Microwave for 1 min to heat and mix well. Smells like awesome.
After the mix is warmed and has picked up some energy from the microwave I charged it between a piece of snowflake obsidian and crazy lace agate under some frankincense.
Note that this will be an interesting tea color so do not spray it super close to any white fabrics unless you want to stain them. From far away it’s fine.
To use spray on self before dealing with potentially shitty people. Reapply as needed. Which for me goes in a pattern of before work then again on my lunch. I spray myself and my hands, but being that what I do with people all day directly involves my hands, it makes sense.
A side effect I’ve noticed of this is it also kills off some of the desire to be shitty to people who are just plain stupid acting but not assholes. Generally it just makes it easier to be happy!
Because I am a huge technomancing nerd and value creation of sacred space:
Comments in Code: Hide warding words, charms, or runes in code comments in the code of your site (< ! – – your ward here – – > sans spaces)
Invisible Sigils: Place sigils as images on a <div> layer set to an opacity of 0
Overarching Wards: Put any wards or enchantments in the CSS stylesheet to ensure coverage over your whole site, or to use your site as a “table” or well for an altar or general spell
I have a feeling I’ve done one of these before… But there has been a request for a new compilation of spells to keep one safe from harm. And since God knows that no matter how hard I tag it, my stuff is never really organized… Have a new list.
