Spell to Crack a Witch’s Ward

ofwoodandbone:

Get a spool of thread.
Begin to unravel it.
“Retexo, Renodo, Resolvo…”
Repeatedly chant this as you unwind the thread. Hear your words echo everywhere. Make them crack the wards.
Unravel their protection. Unbind their magic. Undo their ward.
Continue until the thread runs out.
Bury the spool.
For extra measure in making sure they won’t just be able to hoist up another spell, burn the thread and blow it in their direction.
“Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.”

Get Thee Hence Powder

breelandwalker:

For getting rid of stubborn ex-lovers, or would-be suitors who don’t understand the meaning of “no.” Counters Come Hither Powder, should the need arise.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pt Pistachio Shells
  • 1 pt Lime Peel
  • 1 pt Cinnamon
  • ½ pt Lemon Verbena
  • ½ pt Black Pepper
  • ½ pt Witch Hazel
  • 3 crushed Chili Pepper seeds per ½ cup batch (any sort will do)

Optional: If the lover in question was attracted by magic, add ½ part Turmeric.

Materials:

  • Mortar & Pestle or Spice Grinder
  • Funnel
  • Mesh Strainer
  • Collection Dish
  • Container

Grind each ingredient separately for several minutes to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger ungrindable pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the strainer helps reduce lost material.)

For the Pistachio Shells, retain the leftover large pieces that don’t make it through the strainer. You can use this for loose incense or charm bags later. Remember, witchlings: waste not, want not!

Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately.

To rid yourself of a persistent ex, bind up three generous pinches in brown paper upon which is written your ex-lover’s name, tie with black string, and bury the packet under a flat stone somewhere off your property. If you can do so under a thorny bush or shrub, so much the better.

If your problem is harassment at school or in the workplace or a social setting, carry a small packet or bottle of the powder with you, or sprinkle several pinches where you know the person is certain to walk over it. To sever the attachment and put an end to things, dust your hands with the powder and firmly shake hands with the target while saying goodbye in some fashion. (Make sure it’s “goodbye” or “farewell,” not “see you later” or the like. Do not wash your hands until after the handshake.)

If your problem is unwanted attention at your home, sprinkle three pinches at each corner of your property, then mix a spoonful of the powder with 2 cups of vinegar and use it to wash your doorstep.

Note: Remember always that magic is no substitute for practical action. If you are being harassed or if you feel you are in any way endangered, contact the authorities or your local emergency hotline.

How to Deal with a Cursed Object

If you wind up with an object that’s cursed/hexed, things can turn ugly pretty quick. Not sure you’re cursed? Here’s a list of common things that happen when you’re cursed. How to handle a cursed object varies on culture and your specific practice but here’s some tips: Don’t touch the object. Put gloves on, wrap something around the object, etc. Remove the object from your space. I recommend…

Trans Witch Tip

Place a curse on your deadname so that when someone calls you by it they get a whole lot of bad luck/misfortune ✌

HOW DO I DO THIYI WANT TO DO THIS

Oh! Okay so first of all you can easily do a banishing on your deadname in a number of ways. This makes it get out of your life and be as far away from you as possible. I’ll list a few ways I like to banish on the go:

Write the name on a post-it note, go to a bathroom, attach the post-it note to a paper protective seat cover if you’re in a public/store bathroom (I prefer public bathrooms for banishings because it’s a liminal space and not attached to my own home and also typically industrial-grade toilets that can handle a lot of stuff like post-its, but it’s a tough climate for trans people and public bathrooms these days so BE SAFE and make the choice you are comfortable with) and then flush the toilet and the seat protector and attached post-it away. Otherwise you can just flush the post-it anywhere or use any paper. You can also write directly on a protective seat cover if that’s feasible. I keep pens on me at almost all times. Anyway running water is a classic banisher and that’s what flushing produces, and I find it a good modern replacement for a river. And it’s nice when public bathrooms can work FOR trans people, you know?

Otherwise I tend to use trash magic/trash witchcraft (I have a bunch of posts in that tag on it plus WIP excerpts from a book I’m writing) for banishing, and it’s along the lines of the above: write name, dispose of it. Chuck it in the trash. Public trash is great because it’s far from where you live and it’s already out in the world. It’s gone now, it’s out of your life. A variant is using Pokemon Go to delete stuff from your life.

If you want to curse people who use your deadname then it’s actually pretty simple. A lot of people make curse jars because then you can stick the ingredients in a jar and then bury it or shelve it so that the curse just stays somewhere safe and away from you and does its work while you go on with your life. You can also use a box. (You can even use something as small as an Altoids tin!) But with magic I encourage you to get frisky, follow your instincts, and do what feels right and just GO WITH IT. Anyway the easiest way to target, say, your deadname being said is to write the name on a piece of paper then draw a speech bubble around it to symbolize it being spoken. Then I’d stick that piece of paper in a jar/box, and put in some stuff that will make the person who says it feel pretty shitty. A classic is vinegar. Pepper, especially cayenne pepper, hot sauce, lemon juice, etc. Things you essentially don’t want in your mouth in large amounts??? Wasabi and Sriracha are also great candidates. You can also put in nails or even thumbtacks. Rose thorns/plant spines. Sewing pins are classic. Also broken glass. (Be careful handling stuff that can cut you!) Some people avoid ingredients that mold, saying that mold shows the spell has ceased to work. Others feel the mold increases the nastiness. If you use a cardboard box you’ll want dry ingredients.

And you can also throw in a zipper to keep people’s mouth shut in regards to your deadname!

Anyway, stick a bunch of awful punishing stuff in that jar with the paper and seal it up. You can seal the lid with wax if you’re feeling frisky, wrap it all with duct tape if you want though, it’s all your style and based on what you have on hand. Witchcraft for me is about using the means available to achieve the effects you need. Then put the jar/box away. Either a high closet shelf, or bury it, or find some place to stash it where it’s out of exposure to you but likely to remain intact for a good long time.

That’s the basics. You can always add or modify by using herb correspondences. The full moon was last night and it tends to have a 3-day range of effect so if you did this today, tonight would be a good time to charge the spell in the moonlight for extra power.

Feather-set’s Protection Satchel to Ward Off Ex-Lovers

feather-set:

This satchel idea was brought to me from a friend’s friend who went through a painful, abusive relationship. They left their harmful partner and wanted to find a way to protect themselves so that they can keep the ex-partner away.

What it does: this satchel will help protect you from an ex-lover or abusive partner that you’ve decided to break contact with. This helps protect you from toxic people who might otherwise take advantage of or hurt you.

Before making this satchel: make sure that you’re not going to allow your harmful ex back into your life. Don’t call them, text them, stop them on the street to say hello, etc. Do not allow them to puncture your space by any means. And if they do manage to come up to you, leave as soon as you can.

What you’ll need:

  • A black satchel
  • Rose stems with thorns
  • Sea salt
  • Hematite, onyx, iron, or some black stones
  • Sage, rosemary, bay leaves (or two of these, or all three for maximum protection)
  • An item to represent you (charm, hair, clipped nails, personal trinket, etc)

Casting: You are free to cast the spell however you wish, though I would recommend burning a black candle while you put the items into the satchel, saying the intent of the pouch as you fill it. Chant something like

This bag is my shield and these items keep it strong
All these things protect me from (name)’s wrongs

Everyone’s casting styles are different, so you are free to do your own version of whatever spell you want to accompany this.

Meditate on the purpose of the satchel. Feel the powers of the herbs and stones protecting and holding the items that represents you; in turn, imagine your psychic shield wrapping around you, protecting you from the harmful person’s presence.

Wear the satchel on you when you’re out or feel uncomfortable, until you feel safe and secure knowing they will no longer bother you ever again.

Why I chose these items: I’m very fond of plant/herb magick and crystals, so there’s one. Salt is a very protective mineral that is very commonly used to ward off negative presences. Rosemary, sage, and bay leaves are also protective. Rose thorns are the shield that roses, the symbol of love and frailty. Hematite, onyx, and other dark crystals are protective, especially hematite. Black is a strong colour, and is very defiant and protective.

Secret Anti-Panic Attack Spell Earrings

sigilathenaeum:

This
is my first non-sigil related witchcraft and I though I’d share it with
you. I call it secret because I didn’t want it to look as if it were a
spell. I don’t like panic attacks and I hate having to explain them even
more. So, secret it is. Here is what’s in it.

  • Lavender oil for peace and tranquility
  • Cinnamon for strength against attacks
  • Clove for confidence and protection
  • Glue to keep from falling apart

Start by making some earrings out of fuses, which I learned how to do here.
Next
mix up a little bit of cinnamon, clove, and lavender oil. The oil is
great because it makes the mixture clump together. This mixture goes in
the very bottom of the earrings under the metal cap where you can’t see
it. OooOOooOoo, secret.

And
then the rest of the earrings are filled with clear Elmer’s glue
colored green with food coloring. I chose green because it’s my favorite
color and I find it relaxing. Blue would also have been a good choice.
To finish it all up glue the cap back on and recited a little chant. I
said “Paranoia, paranoia, everybody’s coming to get me. Just say you
never met me. And now I’m free from anxiety.” It may seem like a weird
chant but it’s what I say to myself when I have a panic attack to help
me focus and calm down. The first part is from a Harvey Danger song,
Flagpole Sitta. Any more normal sort of statement like “Let me be free
from anxiety and safe from panic attacks.” or “All my anxiety now goes away, I will not panic at all today.” will work too.

A Protection and Shielding Masterpost

thesigilwitch:

I have a feeling I’ve done one of these before… But there has been a request for a new compilation of spells to keep one safe from harm. And since God knows that no matter how hard I tag it, my stuff is never really organized… Have a new list.

the portable barricade

magicourf:

a spell jar by yours truly, also known as the “don’t touch me don’t look at me don’t talk to me” spell! great for autistic witches, witches who experience sensory overload, witches with social anxiety, and other nd witches who want people to leave them the hell alone.

you’ll need:
– a tiny jar (this is something you’ll be carrying around with you)
– a white candle
– strawberry leaves
– juniper berries
– black salt
– fern seeds
– little bits of metal wire/tiny nails/blackberry thorns/anything sharp and pointy
– crystals to charge: i used clear quartz, amethyst, fire agate, smoky quartz, angelite and bloodstone, but you can use things like carnelian, pyrite, cross stone, jasper, jade, etc

light your white candle. mix your ingredients and pour them into your spell jar. focus your energy on building your barricade. each ingredient is one more part of the wall between you and the things you want to keep away. when your jar is full, cork it and seal it with the white wax. you can use whatever incantation you like at this point; personally i used les mis lyrics while finishing my barricade.

charge your barricade with your crystals. i also left mine in moonlight overnight. enjoy, you are now untouchable!

Rice for Protection

thegreenkitchenwitch:

This is a pretty simple recipe I came up with a while back when my anxiety was through the roof. As you will be able to see I am OBSESSED with protection herbs. Protection is a big thing for me and so a majority of my recipes, teas and spells centre around the protection of one’s self and household!

Ingredients:
1 Cup of Arborio Rice or any other kind you prefer
1 tsp of marjoram
1 tsp of sage
1 tsp of Thyme and Rosemary mixed
Sprinkle of parsley
Sprinkle of Fennel seeds

Fill pot with water till it covers the rice. As the rice begins to bubble add herbs. Mix together. Cook as you would with regular rice. Serve with meat (preferably salmon) or any other foods you like!

This recipe is great and makes the kitchen smell extra homely!
