Almost done with the first round of setting

I’m setting crystals into a wand I made a while back- it’s a lovely thing- made for a lefty for some reason- it just grew that way. But it’s awesome, and I’m putting in the last two main crystals right now. Then tomorrow I’ll start on the finishing cluster right around the base of the largest one near the top. But as I was setting that largest stone, I noticed the tiniest (tiniest) rainbow inclusion inside the quartz, just at the base. It’s almost covered by how its set in the wood, but if you know it’s there and look very closely, you can see the magic.

I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND I HATE IT. Such a beautiful wood piece, so many hours of work having gone into crafting this wand, and I shitfailed in setting the crystals, what a fucking asshat that’s what you get for working with aesthetics at 1am

Super proud of myself – I had to put a velvet dress in the wash because it had grown mold while I was gone, and I was worried because I’d done hand done alterations and embroidery and didn’t want them to come undone, but those suckers stayed put like concrete. Go me.

Happy Murica day. Some tips (forceful commands)

  • DON’T blow yourself up with illegal fireworks
  • DON’T set them off in dry areas (particularly if you already have an above green fire watch)
  • DO be VERY careful with your campfires
  • DON’T leave your trash/empty alcohol bottles in the park/woods/lake/nature
  • DO respect our vets with PTSD
  • Keep your pets locked inside and don’t punish them for being afraid of fireworks. They’re scary.
  • DO wear life vests if you’re going out on the water
  • DON’T drive drunk under ANY circumstances
  • DO drink water if you’re going to get sloshed though

Unpacking my boxes makes me so happy because I make it a point to collect only unique and beautiful things.

I just found my lovely little poison bottle, but it was halfway filled with a liquid the consistency of water and the faint scent of coconut… but I don’t remember filling it with anything. Ever.
