The holiday season is coming up and if you’re being rude to a retail worker while they’re pulling off a 12+ hour shift cause it’s a holiday, you’re going directly to hell and i’m sending you there myself.
It gets even better, because he was doing all of this on a pitch black night. This dude swam towards a lure, slapped at it with his glove, and when it got caught; he let himself float and tugged on the line so the fisherman thought he had hooked a 100+ pound salmon. Once he was finally up to the shore, he turned a flashlight on in the guy’s face and walked out of the water, saying “good morning, gentlemen. State fish and game warden, you’re under arrest.“
At this point, the guy who had reeled him in had literally fallen over in shock, and the other people with him were scared shitless. The warden whipped some citations out of a plastic bag in his wetsuit, made the trespassers sign them, asked if they had any questions, and then gathered all of their fishing gear. And he just. Walked back into the river. And quietly swam away, without another word.

if you want a basic outline of Greek mythology okay sure fine??? but like. if you want an extensive fucking reference site you are looking in the wrong goddamn places
as a self-declared greek mythology snob my reference site is fucking alwaysthis fucker right here. almost every single figure ever mentioned in a Greek text is on it, it has the most obscure gods, spirits, nymphs— it’s GREAT. You really wanna extend your mythological knowledge past the basic 12 and like four others? USE THEOI. plus plus PLUS everything is cited so you can actually read the source material written about whoever it is you’re looking at.

A lot of us, from what I know anyways, have been raised Catholic. However far you got in your religious education, whether you’ve just been baptized or you made it up to Confirmation, the idea of guilt has been branded into us from a very young age. We learned that we are born with original sin, that our bodies belong to God and our future spouse, that we must always be on our best behavior lest we succumb to the fiery pits of hell for all eternity.

The idea of Catholic Guilt is built on whitewashed re-imaginings of Jesus, his family, and his followers. The modern Conservative would rather portray Jesus as a passive, peaceful white man than as the fiery radical that he was, because the idea of following such a man would destabilize the backwards little bubble they’ve created for themselves.
You have nothing to feel guilty about. Autonomy is not a sin. Distancing yourself from the toxic portrayal of faith that has been coming out of Rome is not a sin. Living your best life for yourself is not a sin. Taking care of yourself is not a sin. Being true to yourself is not a sin.
