Good, yes, 100% in support of this!

Just wondering how this could work

A town in colorado just voted to do just that

and a town in Massachusetts did it last year

Turns out when these local governments do it it ends up being cheaper for everyone, and they often offer cell service too (The Massachusetts town had cell service for 10$ and internet for 25-45 depending on speed. Most residents had a 40% drop in cost)

Greenfield MA is just a few towns over from me, my nephew lives there and he’s a smug little shit about his cheap and fast internet.

To Save Net Neutrality, We Must Build Our Own Internet

Our new game is In the Valley of Gods, a single-player first-person adventure set in Egypt in the 1920s. You play as a disgraced former filmmaker and explorer, reunited with your old partner for a project that could leave you with fame and fortune—or dead and buried in the sand.

We’re currently developing the game for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with any potential future platforms yet to be determined. There’s a tentative release target of 2019, but that could change. Just like with Firewatch, follow our progress here on the blog and our Twitter account for the latest news and behind-the-scenes development. In the Valley of Gods is an adventure unlike anything we’ve ever made and we can’t wait for you to play it.

so hey – this is what I’ve been art directing for the past year! My team is fuckin’ amazing, I’ve poured more of my art and sensibilities into this game than I think anything else that I’ve worked on, and I’m so hyped to finally show it off.

Net Neutrality

styro:

CONGRATULATIONS, everybody! We only have 10 days to fight the FCC & the repeal of #NetNeutrality!

Thanks to John Oliver there’s a SUPER easy way to do this
Do you enjoy Netflix? Do you find yourself spending too much time on FB? If net neutrality goes away, our Internet bills go up and we give power to companies like Comcast and Spectrum.

Here’s what you can do – takes less than a minute:
1. Go to gofccyourself.com
(the shortcut John Oliver made to the hard-to-find FCC comment page)
2. Click on the 17-108 link (Restoring Internet Freedom)
2. Click on “express”
3. Be sure to hit “ENTER” after you put in your name & info so it registers.
4. In the comment section write, “I strongly support net neutrality backed by Title 2 oversight of ISPs.”
5. Click to submit, done. – Make sure you hit submit at the end!

Otherworldly ‘Earth Pyramids’ Captured in the Foggy Early Morning Light by Photographer Kilian Schönberger

Photographer Kilian Schönberger climbed the Alps late at night to capture one of the mountain range’s strangest segments, alien-like columns found in South Tyrol, an autonomous province in Northern Italy. His series Otherworld showcases the so-called “earth pyramids” in a hazy dawn light, strange creations that appear like stalagmites freed from their underground caves.
