Trans-inclusive language in religious texts is SO IMPORTANT. There is nothing in some young people’s lives that can either validate or dehumanize them so quickly as how they see themselves represented in the words of their religion.

Like when my professor suggested I hide my small pieces throughout the gallery for our next show, I heard “I don’t like your work but I have to include you so let’s literally hide your shit”
That is 100% probably not what he was saying, and this kind of stuff makes me constantly beat myself up when I hear it, but I can’t seem to turn it off. I think my fundamental mistrust of people means I think they’re lying to me or trying not to hurt my feeling because they think setting negative about me.
