Also this boils down to stripping rights away from intersex and trans ppl from what I understand, meaning that we would no longer be protected under federal law. This is scary. call your local senator and representatives! websites like 5calls tell you your national representatives based on your location and if you use their mobile site, you can call those representatives through their site. they don’t yet have hb2796 on their site, but you can use their system regardless!
here is an example of something you can say: “My name is (your name) and I am a constituent in (your town/city/district). I strongly oppose house bill 2796, which aims to remove gender identity protections from civil rights legislation by forcibly clarifying “gender” or “sex” to indicate only a person’s assigned gender at birth. Transgender people require civil rights protections as a vulnerable part of our population, and it is extremely important to me that they receive those protections. It’s kind of funny too cause even though the spotted hyenas are the most well known, they’re actually the oddballs of the gang.
Striped hyenas, Aardwolves, and Brown hyenas all have stripes in one form or another, tall pointy ears, and a fluffy roughly medium length tail.
Spotted hyenas on the other hand, Roundish ears, spots, and a shorter puff ball of a tail. And the whole massive clans, matriarchish stuff, and the uh.. psuedo penis.

Or are we talking about a white woman who traveled to India twice, followed a five-hour seminar and knows everything about inner energies now
We love our vegetarian and vegan friends and family (and I have a lot of them!!). We don’t support an organization that claimes to love animals and does nothing but hurt them and the people who love them.

We also do NOT support vegans that force their carnivorous pets to live on a vegan diet. Hypocrisy is somthing I HATE and if you really cared that much about animals you would do the research needed to feed your pets a species appropriate diet.

Hispanic U.S. citizens, some of whom were in the U.S. military, are not being allowed to renew their passports. This is reportedly happening to “hundreds, even thousands” of Latinos, according to a report in the Washington Post. They’re getting letters from the State Department saying it does not believe they are citizens. The government claims their citizenships are fraudulent. “I’ve had probably 20 people who have been sent to the detention center—U.S. citizens,” Jaime Diez, an attorney in Brownsville, told The Washington Post.
The Washington Post also reports on ICE officials coming to citizens’ homes and taking their passports away. This is an escalation from a few months ago, when Americans were detained by ICE officials just for speaking Spanish to one another.
The administration is currently launching an effort to take citizenship from people who they suspect of fraud in obtaining it. Fraud in these cases is exceedingly rare. The last time the government tried to strip people of their citizenship was, according to Columbia Professor Mae Ngai, during The Red Scare of the 1950s. As Ngai remarks, McCarthyism is not typically remembered as a good period in American history.
There is good reason to believe that this could portend still worse things to come for the U.S. Hispanic population, unless people begin to speak out loudly, and fast.
