Today is a day of action for net neutrality–the principle and the law that means Internet service providers must treat all content equally, without “fast and slow lanes” or “bonus premium content.”  This is absolutely key to freedom of online expression, and is basically the reason YouTube is so much more diverse and interesting than your average cable channel.  

There is no reason you should be opposed to net neutrality unless you are a major telecommunications corporation.  (If you are a major telecommunications corporation, unfollow me now ~uwu~)  

But despite widespred public support for net neutrality, it’s currently under threat. For more information and to contact the Federal Communications Commission to advocate for net neutrality, go to these sites:
