They just need different care than non desert plants- try looking up what you’ve got and getting detailed instructions for it’s care. Also, make sure the succulent you’re choosing from the store/nursery is healthy in the first place, because sometimes they seem healthy, but are overwatered or painted to look better and dissolve into mush when you get home. Even if you have a black thumb like I used to, it’s a practice-makes-okay thing. I couldn’t grow shit on my own until I found out that I could grow oranges well…like really specifically mostly orange tree plants- and I took it from there
