18-24 year olds in particular, I’m calling you! There’s an unverified stat that only 36% of us voted in the EU referendum and that’s bullshit. This is a huge decision that’s going to affect everyone in the country hugely, far more so than most other general elections, so PLEASE DON’T BE APATHETIC AND VOTE!!
Why you should vote
- This election is going to have a huge impact on Brexit negotiations
- ‘The Tories are going to win anyway’ by not voting against them you only make them stronger
- ‘I live in a safe seat it doesn’t matter’ This will tell you how to vote tactically!!
- ‘I don’t like any of the candidates’ then spoil your ballot paper!! write fuck you on it or something it might be quite therapeutic. They count the protest votes so at least that way you’re telling people you don’t like the system as opposed to just seeming like you can’t be bothered
How to register
- Head over to https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
- Things you need: National Insurance number. And like your name and stuff but that’s the only tricky one it literally takes 5 minutes to sign up
- Oh and if you’re a brit living abroad you need your passport
- ALSO IF YOU’RE AT UNI YOU CAN REGISTER TO VOTE AT HOME OR UNI!!! This website tells you whether your vote will count for more at home or uni

- Green haven’t released a manifesto yet but here’s what they stand for
- Labour main points
- Liberal Democrats main points
- SNP (not relevant to most people)
