• Art history professors will call a 60 page article a “short read” if it has a lot of pictures.
• “Strict” art historians don’t like it when professors teach art history through “cultural history with an art perspective,” even if art is nothing without its context. 
• Colleges will have discrete classes on everything art history except for POC or female dominated discussions, specifically lumping Latin America and Africa into one survey class or completely ignoring ceramics and textiles art history.
• Any art history topic can be interesting if the teacher who teaches it is invested in the subject matter.
