Fun fact: the Christian Cross is literally a degradation of Women. The cross is a re-hash of the Ankh, the Feminine symbolism was removed (the uterus round part) leaving only the masculine symbolism. Plus it’s blasphemous, disharmonious and a lie.

Um…. pretty sure Christians use crosses cause Jesus was crucified on the cross and it’s a symbol of his sacrifice aka the love of God.

@christowitch Maybe you could shed some light on this?

The cross was a T shape that’s people were nailed too but when Jesus was crucified they went a step farther and made it a t shape to tack his name onto to further humiliate him.

So pretty much…. it’s got nothing to do with what this anon mentioned.

#actual medical facts time: As far as I know, the crucifying cross was very purposefully designed, but it has nothing to do with an ankh and everything to do with torture. I’ve tagged this as torture and gore, so if you’re triggered by that, please don’t read any further.

As we know, in order to be crucified, you’d have your arms nailed with hands outstretched and your feet nailed at the bottom. As gravity does its thing, you’re basically left to alternate between the pain of attempting to pull yourself up with your hands/arms, or push yourself upwards with your feet. As your chest muscles are stretched like this, and in such excruciating pain, your pecs and the muscles between each rib that all you to properly expand and contract your chest for breathing seize up. In order to get each breath, you must lift yourself up by either arms or feet, and it’s easy to see why a person would fatigue from that quickly. Carbon dioxide builds up in the lungs, and lacking oxygen, you pretty much die from suffocation, or in some cases, heart failure due to fluid build up in the chest cavity. It gets worse for special cases, but I think that’s enough of an explanation.

So that’s why it’s shaped the way it is, my friends. Because when it came to death and punishment, the Romans were creative and straight up brutal.
