I’m glad there’s articles talking about homophobia robs straight men of platonic physical touching, but I want more articles about how homophobia robs gay & bi people of physical touch as well.

Like, who are bi women supposed to be able to touch in this world when any contact can be a come on? Who are lesbians supposed to be able to touch, when contact with men is sexual or erases their sexuality, and contact with straight women is predatory. 

When these articles say that women are allowed to touch platonically, it always rings false for me. That’s not the case for me, or most of the queer women I know. When they say women are allowed to touch platonically, they mean straight women.
