i hate how sexualized figure drawing classes are in media. its not sexy. everyone in the class is tired. the model. the students. the teacher. we’re all tired and not aroused at all. 

Like, does anyone outside of art school know how much stamina it takes to participate in a figure drawing class as either a model or an artist? Go online, find a simple pose, and try to hold it for ten minutes and see how hard that shit is. I had a model come in from outside the official guild- had zero experience, and I had him do nothing but simple sitting poses, and I had to work incredibly fast because he got fatigued in less than five minutes per pose. And drawing? Shit, I nearly failed out of figure drawing because I skipped exactly one fewer than the failing amount of classes because it takes so much time and energy just to be there participate at such a 110% force
