WOW. Nothing like seeing a walking shadow out of the corner of your eye to wake up the brain!
Nothing like it to fire up the temper, too, I might add.I haven’t seen one of these things in my own home since I lived in Pennsylvania. Actually startled me for a minute. And then my usual response to fear kicked in. And now I’m angry and territorial.
-rassumfrassumspirits-
Time to do some goddamn cleaning.
HOLY SHIT I AM THE PROUDEST CATMOM EVER!!!!
So just as I was tagging my previous post and getting ready to make with a round of Banishing Powder to supplement the Ghost-B-Gone I’d already laid down, I saw the thing peek around the corner of the dining room wall again.
Penny was with me in my office…and she went BALLISTIC. She goes streaking down the hall, through the living room toward the corner, tail at full bottlebrush, and I hear her spit like she’s about to tear somebody a new blowhole. I run out to make sure she’s okay, and she’s up in the window, staring out with all her hackles up and that puffy tail lashing furiously.
It was the best “AND STAY OUT” I think I’ve ever seen.
And yes, to answer the obvious question, the icky presence I’d felt was GONE.
I’m still going to cleanse and ward the place tonight, just to make sure, but damned if I don’t suddenly have another witchcat to train!
good cat ❤
