during our wildflowers final today my professor said “here. keep an eye on this guy.” after a few minutes I asked “am I supposed to be doing something with it or,” and he said “nah, just keepin’ ya occupied.”

This is a Red eft, the juvenile stage of a Red-spotted newt that lives out of the water!
