So, I thought this was common knowledge but apparently it’s not.
If you work outside do not use salt to make a circle. Doing that in your kitchen where you can sweep it up is fine, doing that on the ground will result in a ring of dead plants where things won’t grow, sometimes for years.
Use something else like stones or a cord to make your circles if you absolutely have to have one.
My friend would often use flour when she was outside
Powdered sugar works well too.
Cornstarch, rice flour, etc… You can make a circle out of branches, you can make one out of rocks, one out of yarn, etc…
So many alternatives to salt guys.I’m sure making a salt circle on pavement is just fine, but try to clean it up so it doesn’t blow into the surrounding plants.
