Inktober day 11: The violets by the cave kept dying–Persephone, confused, returned day after day to sing them back to life. Her mother, Demeter never spoke of the Underworld so Persephone had no way of knowing her struggling violets grew near one of the many entrances to Hades’ kingdom.
The caves carried her voice, light and clear, to the ears of Hades himself. And like the wilting violets, something within him came to life at the sound.
