What books do you like? Fantasy, romance, nonfic? Horror? If you like short stories I know some great kinda-creepy short stories available online, like ‘Nightfall’ and ‘The Yellow Wallpaper.’ I literally cried after ‘Nightfall’ it was like the best existential crisis ever.

FRAND.

Yeah, books? I used to love books- devour them by
the stack and go back to the library the next day. But I think college
and all of the boring readings in which I have to over analyze
everything killed my attention span and it’s hard to read sometimes, but
I guess I’ve been reading Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons at bus
stops lately. There’s something very velvety and seductive about his
work- and at the same time, I find it funny that I like Robert Langdon
because I’ve never liked detective stories and here I am liking this
character who’s rich, yes, but still kind of falls back to that classic P.I. mold.

Oh,
Fairytales! I acquired a copy of Grimm’s Fairytales illustrated by
Arthur Rackham as a little girl, and my love of fairytales prevails-
most recently in Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue. I’ve loaned two books in my life, and that was one of them, this weekend to a very close friend.

The Book of Qualities
by J Ruth Gendler is a classic for me. It’s qualities like Courage and
Sensuality, personified, each with a little blurb about them and their
life. One of my favorites is Anxiety.

The Hobbit. Lord of the Rings was too dense for me, but I’ve read two copies of The Hobbit to tatters.

Then there’s always my good old fall back of Steven King for me; anyone can write horror, but there’s something about the ugly little every day horrors that he writes that makes him great.

I’d love to see a link to that story, if you have one!
