PSA: Witchcraft should NOT be hard on your wallet.

trueriptide:

I saw a post saying that witchcraft can be hard on the wallet. I’m not pointing them out but it got me thinking, so here I am.

It is my opinion that witchcraft should not be hard whatsoever on your wallet. Witchcraft involves everything you need it to. This means that if you don’t have that fancy scented, colored candle readily available in your home already – you don’t need it. If you don’t already have a bunch of hard-to-find herbs, you don’t need it. Yes, certain traditions of witchcraft, sorcery and folk magic does strictly require certain things. But I’m not talking about those. I’m talking about every day, basic ass witchcraft that anyone can do, down low, and not spend a damn dime on something they don’t need.

You don’t need a real candle. There are candle apps (some in which you can change the color of the candle, even). There are candle WEB APPS if you don’t want to download it onto your phone.

You don’t need those herbs. You have dirt all around you. You have flora all around you. The majority of a typical American kitchen spice rack will hold all the dried herbs and spices you’d need for a spell!

You don’t need to burn things. You don’t need to bury things. You don’t need to charge them with a bunch of crystal chips.

All you need is yourself. Your breath, your word, your intent, your energy. Pen, paper and the clarity of the thought, “My desire exists already, I just need to guide it to me.”
