This is so nice! And this is actually a place in Costa Rica. A couple decided to start a refuge for stray dogs and now own around 700-900 doggies. It’s not state supported. They live on donations. Most are never adopted but live a happy life until their last day. Each of them have a house, bed or a couch to sleep in and have acres and acres of land to explore everyday.

Their project is called Territorio de Zaguates. You can google them or search for them on Facebook to help them out.

@phantomrose96

I was in Costa Rica last December. There are a lot of stray dogs around–many of which (at least near resort areas) live calm, semi-domestic lives hanging out in areas where people are giving with water and food scraps. There was one that was informally part of a ranch and spent all his time climbing trails with the horses and getting ridiculous amounts of love (and food) from all the tourists. Happiest dog I’ve met in my entire life.

What I’m getting at is this is a VERY GOOD THING. I’d recommend donating if you can.
